Traditional furniture reflects the lifestyle, social relationships, aesthetic sensibilities, and craftsmanship of the time in which it was made. From piri and jalchowki to palang, wooden chests, boxes, shelves, chairs, tables, and other forms of indigenous furniture, we explore their design, materials, construction techniques, uses, and histories.

Our aim is not simply to preserve old furniture, but to carry forward the knowledge, craftsmanship, design language, and cultural memory embodied within them.
