Bengali Hereditary Folklore Instruments Exhibition

Presented as part of the 3rd International Symposium of the ICTMD Study Group on Music and Allied Arts of Greater South Asia, under the theme "The Climate Crisis and its Impact on the Arts".

In collaboration with the symposium framework, this exhibition focused on hereditary folklore instruments and their adaptation to environmental change, disappearing material cultures, and fragile artistic ecosystems, alongside the restoration of what we might otherwise lose. The project connected ethnographic research with questions of sustainability, climate vulnerability, and cultural continuity.

The one-day exhibition was visited by members of the Cultural Ministry of Bangladesh, University of Dhaka faculty, academics, music students, scholars and professors from universities around the world.
